Helloooo,
Okay, I am sooo sorry about not posting a blog. I've got a series of excuses (first having my net capped for two weeks straight, then my computer breaking down because I downloaded a virus cuz I'm an idiot, and then my laptop sound not working because of the virus - which my brother fixed recently YAY) But...I think that even if I hadn't had technical problems, I may not have been very....blog-happy because...well because Breaking Dawn was a bit of a let down. I WILL type out my blog properly, perhaps in parts (long blogs are boring to read). I have a Marketing exam to study for right now, so I shall be back in ... say several hours to give a general overview of my opinion of BD. xx Vath Posted by Vath on 31 Aug 2008
Here's to not really bothering about actively finding people to watch us, but rather, letting Marion the Nerfightarion lure them in. xD But really, it's super awesome to have reached 100. I hope I'm not jinxing anything when I say I had no idea where we were going exactly with this. But slow and steady wins the race, eh? So, thanks to eman940, a guy, furthermore, for being our 100th subscriber. <*insert eman940 here*3 That is the special place in our heart for him.
A general thank you for all the subscribers. And I want to put a special one out to Erin for stalking us with video responses, we'll get on that question of yours soon! So, thank you, thank you, thank you, everyone. Wait, five more thank yous on top of that. One each for Marion, Steph, Claire, Ellie, and Vath for being made of awesome. I love doing this with you girls. Posted by Alyson on 04 Aug 2008
It is the third week in for the DIG girls! And this is my second blog. I skipped out last week mostly because I can't do Breaking Dawn theories. I'm terrible at them. I just end up reiterating other people's ideas. I'm really hoping though, that we get to see Bella as a vampire for more than just the epilogue. I'm also hoping that Jacob has a smaller part in BD because I'm just sick of him. [PS, since I live in Australia, I won't be getting BD till tomorrow. I'm thoroughly jealous of those of you who have already read it. Plus, I'll get thoroughly depressed if its spoiled for me.]
So this week's news. Just snippets before I get onto this week's topic. Marion: you're like magic. I love it! So much that I was humming it at work. Very softly under my breath, but in front of customers nonetheless. Okay, Vath is reverting back to her grade ten self here, where cute boys and crushes still made her giddy and blush.I saw a guy on the bus the other day who could have been Robert Pattinson's little brother. Except with a cuter nose. I am not kidding, this guy even had the 'broody' look going on, and the slightly prominent brow that Rob has. I must've looked like a fool, with the staring and whatnot. But then I saw him again on Wednesday, on the bus once more. No...I'm not stalking him. (I would if I could). He was wearing the same dusty blue colour that Edward wears in some of the trailers...and again..no, I'm not stalking him. Even if I did notice that he has blue eyes just like Pattinson. *taking a deep breath and moving along* Edit;; I saw him for a third time on Friday! And Claire was with me. Gah! Dying of fangirlish giggles. Ellie: books! I dunno whether you're a fan of the whole vamp genre, but the books I'd suggest are...anything by LJ Smith. She's an older American writer (her books were published around 15 years ago). "Night World" is a 9/10 book series about vampires, witches, werewolves, etc. That's my fave of hers. Though I also love "The Secret Circle", a trilogy about witches. The 'Wicca' series (called 'Sweep' in the US, 'Wicca' in Australia and the UK). 15 book series by Cate Tiernan about witches with a strong Irish flavour (wow...I don't mean alcohol). And, perhaps my first vampire experience: "The Last Vampire" by Christopher Pike. Six books, vampires, some of Pike's best in my opinion. The last few books in the series weren't so flash though. Alyson: most interesting place....I've visited Cambodia a couple of times. Interesting experience? Yes. But I had to spend six solid weeks with extended family whom I don't usually spend that much time with...drove me up the wall. Not that I have any particular issue with them, its just that spending six solid weeks with anyone you aren't used to is painful. This week's topic! Yay, I love this one. As a side note: people, the following may alter your opinion of me a bit. Please don't fire me :P Oh, btw, my favourites are very obviously Bella and Edward, and least favourite is Jacob. But I'm excluding them from this cuz...well otherwise this blog would take second to both read and write. OF THE CULLEN CLAN Favourite: Rosalie Hale. I know everyone hates her. But I love her. Unlike some Twilight fans (and I'm not saying this in a disdainful way) I'm very much a vampire fiction kind of girl. A lot of the stuff I read is supernaturally based. And I see Rosalie has the classic vampire. She's cold, a bit detached, absolutely stunning and has a heartbreaking story. So my vote goes for Rose. Least favourite: I got a bit stuck here. I sort of love the Cullen Clan has a whole. But I'd have to agree with Claire on Esme. Perhaps because she's just not a major player. And I have a feeling that she won't be in BD. She's just sort of a filler. Not that its a bad position to be in. I don't hate her or anything, there's just less love going her way. She just ain't as sparkly as the kids. LA PUSH Favourite: Okay. Please refrain from swearing at the screen or me when you read this. I'm going with Sam Ulley (Uley?) I thinks its Ulley. Anyways. He's the leader. He knows what he's doing, and he's got a great love story in his history. Who doesn't love that? He's a strong character. Well written. Least Favourite: Hmm....Leah Clearwater. Let go sistah! That's all I got. FORKS Favourite: Angela. Everyone else is saying it! But you guys are right. She's not your classic, whiny teen (*cough*Jessica*cough), nor is she nasty to Bella (*cough*Lauren*cough*). Plus she reminds me of an Angela I knew in high school. Least Fave: I'm gonna go with Tyler. He's relentless. Like an annoying little bug that won't go away. I don't much feel any warm fuzzies for Lauren either. Posted by Vath on 03 Aug 2008
Alright, so the blog. Two reasons why it’s a tad late: I wanted to see the girls’ videos before I wrote anything … and I was busy feeling guilty about not studying for my exam this week. (FYI: I’ve got a feeling I’m failing Sociology). So introductions? The basics: my name is Vath. I’m 18, graduated with our lovely Claire (Miss Tuesday) last year. I’m at uni doing a bachelor of business management and arts (cuz I have no idea what I wanna do)…
So that’s the boring stuff out of the way. In fact….introductory blogs/vlogs are all just exposition really. Boringness. Not that you girls were boring. It was cool getting to sort of knowing you guys. So onto the less boring stuff…Twilight, of course. I was introduced to it by a friend I made online who’s from America (of course, like Claire, I live in Australia). I ignored her constant e-swooning until I got sick of being out of the loop and looked it up. There are 33 copies of it in our city library (which has just over 30 branches throughout the area) and they were all either checked out or on hold. I got tired of being cheap and just bought the book. My mistake: I bought it just before my mid-semester assignments were due. I got hooked immediately and I blame Twilight for part of the reason I might be failing Sociology. From there I got three of my closest friends into it (one of them being Claire). Plus my brother…which I’m still getting my head around. My little brother’s into Twilight! In his words: “Edward’s cool and Jacob’s a fag.” Not that I condone his use of the word ‘fag’, but I figure that’s just his way of saying he doesn’t like the werewolf. Which is fine because I’m a Team Edward girl myself. So that’s me. Ooh, I recall the suggestion of an intro clip suggested by Claire on Tuesday. And because my skills online are restricted to photoshop, googling and some writing, I’m no help with that. But I really think that DIG should have one. You know, I was aiming for a short intro blog. Something concise and easy to read. This is somewhat longer than what I imagined. But anyways, it was great “meeting” the five DIG girls. Can’t wait to see what next week brings! xx Vath P.S. Stephanie, we aren’t crazy. I resent that. We’re just a little absurd. :P Posted by Vath on 18 Jul 2008
Hi! So this is the very first official post on the DIG site. I'm sorta in a hurry, but take a look around.
PS: Girls, I had to delete all the old news, but I did save our weekly topic ideas. Posted by Alyson on 16 Jul 2008
